I am a American, female student who loves opera, fashion, the Art Deco Movement, classic (‘old’) Hollywood, Bollywood, Korean Television Dramas, amateur photography, writing, the internet, and anything old! I am creating this blog to share some of my favorite things with the world. In particular, this blog will feature some of my photos (especially of Art Deco things) and my thoughts on Korean Dramas (K-dramas). Someday, I’d like to branch out and have separate Art Deco and Korean Drama blogs, but for right now, you’re going to get a mixed bag. I hope you enjoy it!
About the name:
The term ‘Art Deco‘ (describing the artistic movement that lasted from roughly 1925-1939) was coined in the 1960s. ‘Paris 25′ was one of the terms used to describe the movement before use of the phrase ‘Art Deco’ really caught on. ‘Paris 25′ refers to the Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes (the exposition that ‘launched’ the Art Deco movement) held in Paris in 1925. I just think that ‘Paris 25′ is such a snazzy phrase!
